Understanding Developmental Delay
Developmental delay means a child is significantly behind expected milestones in one or more areas. Global developmental delay involves two or more domains and always warrants prompt, coordinated intervention.
At Seyon, one case manager coordinates all therapies so your child has a single plan rather than four disconnected ones.
Signs to look for
- Milestones reached much later than expected
- Delay in both movement and speech
- Difficulty learning everyday routines
